I had fun creating with the sketch that my partner Ann sent me and the extra challenge she issued as well!    Here is the sketch that Ann sent me.

Sorry-it's a little small, but isn't it a good one!

The challenge that Ann issued to me was to use something else but flowers where they are indicated.

Here's my layout!

Love this picture of the kids:)  I used some Simple Stories "Life Documented" for this layout.  and in place of the flowers, I layered some of their fabulous stickers.  I love how this all worked together.  The colors are great.

Here are the details!!

1. Visit each blog and leave a comment. Read carefully, there may be individual requirements as some designers are offering little prizes of their own!

2. After you have visited each Designer's blog come back to My Sketch World blog and let us know what you thought. Part One of the hop ends Monday, December 5th, 11:59 EST.

3. Everyone who posts a comment on each blog will be entered to win! Winners will be randomly chosen.

4. To receive an additional entry, scraplift a layout and link it back to the My Sketch World blog (in your comment) and tell us what inspired you!

5. Have fun! Be inspired! Part Two of this hop begins December 10,2011.

New Sweet Tooth Layouts!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween!  We had fun handing out candy to the little cuties who came to our door.  We had quite a few this year-more than last, and almost ran out of candy!  Millie and Nala sure enjoyed the kids and a few got to scratch Millie's ears.  It's so funny how much they liked Millie-almost more than the candy!

Shelly and I had a great time at our crop a few weeks ago.  I wish I had some pictures, but we're usually so busy running the crop, we don't take any:)  I'm excited to say we have our spring dates set, March 2 and 3, same place!!  Registration is open at Sweet Tooth

Speaking of Sweet Tooth:), I have two new Halloween layouts in the store.  the first was created with "Nightfall", from American Crafts.  I love the non-traditional Halloween colors.

The second layout was created using papers from "too cute to spook" from Bella Blvd.  I LOVE the cute cut outs and the bright colors.

Aren't those little one-eyed creatures adorable!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

New line from Reminisce!

Reminisce has just released a fun new line called "Family Pride", and I had a lot of fun creating with it!  I love the colors and the fact that you can use it for more than animal pictures.  But it's fun for kid pictures, zoo pictures and so much more.

Here are a couple layouts I made with this line:

Family Pride 2 page CN 2 800
And I loved how I could use the giraffe letters from an older Reminisce line!  I cut the giraffe out from one paper and added it to kraft cardstock.

And another:

Family Pride 2 page CN 800
Love the trees on the 12 x 12 sticker sheet that came with this line.  Used even more older Reminisce sticker letters on this layout-from an older Easter line.    I love how it all works together.

Check with your LSS and make sure they are carrying this fun, new line!

Thanks for looking!

October Sketch at My Sketch World!

Another great sketch from Lucy over at My Sketch World!!

Here's the sketch:

This has to be one of my favorite sketches of Lucy's.  Here's what I did with it.  I used some of Jillibeans "Dutch Mustard".  I have to say that Jillibean is one of my favorite companies.  I love the colors and designs-plus all the little extras.

This picture was taken at a Welcome party that was held at Legacy Point for my parents.  One of the last times we were all together.  I wish I'd taken a picture of just me and my dad.  Still missing him so much a year later.  A picture would have been so nice to have.  So don't forget to take the everyday pictures, too.

Be sure to hop over to My Sketch World to see what the other ladies have done with the sketch.  There are some fantastic layouts over there!

Catching Up!

Wow!  I've had a few busy weeks-in fact, a very busy month!  Where did September go????  I do love this time of year-the colors, the smells (my scensty is going full force!) and of course, the candy corn!!

I spent a FUN weekend at the Mall of American with my favorite people from Reminisce!! at Archivers Scrapfest.  Did I mention the FUN I had!!  Here's a photo of some special people:)

We spent three FULL days, running the Make and Take booth-where the lines were SO long and very patient ladies and gentlemen waited over an hour at times to do our projects.  Andria also had four classes each day (not Sunday) and I helped her Friday afternoon, with the layout class.  Love those layouts!  We were the hosts of a crop on Friday night and met some really nice ladies.  Here's the young lady who won the huge door prize Reminisce gave out.  wish I could remember her name.  She was so sweet!

Oh and that's Shelly behind her:)

And here's a good picture of Shelly:)  Someone should remind me to use a little bronzer or something!  Is that how you spell bronzer?

Such a fun weekend.  We topped it off with a yummy dinner at Chevy's and a few adult beverages:)  Andria and Robin had to leave us early :(

Just this past weekend, I had the pleasure of seeing Lynne again:)  No pictures from our crazy, busy weekend, but it sure was fun.  She was taking some Vintaj classes in Galena, Il. and I was her taxi!!  I got some uninterrupted scraping time and just relaxed.

Then back to Iowa City where we scrapped some more and she created some crazy cute stuff that you will have to wait to see.  But check her blog out in a couple of days!!

And because I know you've been dying for an update on my turkey-turns out there's THREE of them!!  (I know Lynne, you have lots more than me)

I know there's only two in this picture, but the other one is shy:)

Have a fantastic weeke everyone!!  So glad the rain ahs stopped and the sun is shining-off to walk my Millie!!

New Kits in the Sweet Tooth Store!!!!!!

With all the goings on with my family, I'm a few days late with the release of the newest layout kits from Sweet Tooth!  But I think they are worth the wait.

First up, is a fun sports layout featuring the new "Making the Team" line from Bella Blvd.

I love the colors in this line-perfect for any sports team!  Included in the kit is a fun sticker sheet full of sports themed phrases and icons.  There will be leftovers from what you use with this kit!  This kit is just $13 and is available now!

The next layout was created with the "Nightfall" line from American Crafts.  They've done it again!  Perfect for all your fun fall activities.  This kit is just $15 and comes with a complete set of Thickers!  Plenty left over for other layouts!

Be sure to check out Shellys cards while you're there.  She used a gorgeous new line from Pebbles called "Fresh Goods"!

New Sketch!!

Good morning!!  It is a beautiful fall like morning here in Iowa and I LOVE it!  Looking forward to a LONG walk to burn off just a bit of the eating I did this past weekend!

Another fun Mini!

I've had fun creating some mini albums this summer.  I wanted to share one that I made for The Scrapbooking Studio using a tag album from Pinecone Press and the beautiful "Timeless" line from Teresa Collins.  This album holds a lot and there are more available as well as the paper at The Scrapbooking Studio.

I decided to use this album for Molly's High School Graduation pictures.  I LOVED how it turned out!

I started the album with a few of her Senior pictures, taken by Shelley Haganman

Then a few photos before her graduation ceremony.  Typical Miss Molly:)

A few at the ceremony at Carver Hawkeye Arena.  Which wasn't the best for me and my lack of photography skills:(  but I got a few!

And finished up with some pictures from her party.

And then my favorite Molly picture:)

Thanks for looking!

Heading out to do some shopping with Katie!  She's home for a LONG weekend and we are going to enjoy!

A Fun paper bag album

On a recent trip to The Scrapbooking Studio, I picked up some gorgeous paper and embellies from the Ever After line by Pebbles.  LOVE the pinks and soft green in this line.  At first, I wasn't sure what I could use it for, but then I though of Molly's pictures from her Junior year Prom and it was perfect!!  So I took dome white lunch bags and without folding them, made an album

I decorated the fronts and backs and then made inserts for the inside of the "pages".  Then binder rings to hold them together.

Molly and her friend Hope.  They were so fun that night:)  They had the best time!

I sent this picture to the Press Citizen and they printed it.  Love it!

This was one of the inserts for the bags.  I just used cardstock and then for the tabs, and OLD Quickutz die.  I really like how it turned out!

Thanks for looking:)

I'm doing the Happy Dance again!  I am on the Layout Design Team again over at My Sketch World!!!!!!  So thrilled to be a part of this great group again.  We'll, even if I wasn't on the DT I would still be a part of this great group.  The sketches are awesome and the message board is the best around.  The NICEST People!!  I will also be handling a lot of the Facebook news as well, so look for that!

Here are a couple of layouts I did for the call.  I used Jillibean's Watermelon Gazpacho Soup in both of them.  I LOVE this line!!  The colors are fantastic!  And you can see them in person at my favorite store, The Scrapbooking Studio, in Moline.  I hear she's gotten just a ton of new stuff:)

Okay, the layouts!

OLD pictures-from 1999!  The girls playing in the sand at Hilton Head:)  This was such a fun vacation:)

More old pictures!  My nephew, Michael, at the lake on Molly's 12th birthday, so Sept. 2, 2002.  which means she turns 21 in just two weeks.  Yikes!

My Kids

Wanted to share a couple more pictures I took when Katie was home last.  It was the first time I had all three kids home at the same time in seven months.  And Kyle leaves for school later this month (grad school) and won't be home again until Thanksgiving.  Now I know how my parents felt when all of us started leaving.  It's hard, but a necessity I know. IMG_4056

This was taken right before we left for dinner at the Saloon.  Here's one with their  favorite brother.

I'm lucky-they're such wonderful people:)

I've been VERY busy helping Reminisce get ready for Scrapfest!  It is in Minneapolis at Mall of America and it's such fun!  I will be going along to help in the make and take booth and maybe in the classroom as well.  If you're going, stop by and say "Hi"!

So I'm hoping for some scrapping time this weekend!  I have these grea new pictures that I need to work with ! (see above!:))
