Happy New Year!!

Relaxing this evening, enjoying a little quiet time:)  We had a busy, wonderful Christmas!  All the kids were home, that was the best part.  Lots of presents to open.!!
I was very excited to get a new computer for an early Christmas present, but Jim couldn't stand me not having something to open!  He picked out some pretty earrings, a cute little coach bag and a fun cover for my phone.  He did good!  Katie gave us some tickets to Second City Comedy Club that is coming to The Englert in February.  Looking forward to that!

Molly got a new computer, too!  She moved to Miami today:( and really needed a new lap top.  She was THRILLED!
Here's a photo of the other youngins!
The three of them really enjoyed their time together.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and wish you a very Happy New Year!!!!!

New Class at The Scrapbooking Studio!

I have created a new class that will be offered at The Scrapbooking Studio in June!  We will be creating two, two page layouts using the "Fresh Goods" line from American Crafts.

I love this line!!  The colors are bright and cheerful and can be used for so many different themes.  I love that they also offered several papers with a kraft background:)
We will be using assorted chipboard pieces (they may vary from what is shown), cork adhesive back paper (LOVE this) Sizzix dies, Ranger inks and lots more!!  The fee for the class is $20 and will be offered June 20th at 6PM.. The class size is limited so dont delay in calling the Studio!!    They can be reached at 309-736-7242.  Hope to see you there:)

A New Look!!

I managed to move my blog from Typepad to Blogger with only one problem:  Someone else had my Tales From the Bleachers name!!!!  AND she hasn't posted in over a year!   Hard to let go, but I did:)  So welcome to my new blog, Cindy's Paper Creations!  It works for me!!  Lots of work to make it look the way I want, but baby steps!  And it was really easy-no moments of panic or anything!

I've been busy lately, making things for Sweet Tooth and for The Scrapbooking Studio.
Here are some new kits in the Sweet Tooth store and at The Scrapbooking Studio!!

They were all made with the new Mini Lines from Echo Park.  One Dance, one Boy and Girl and Boy Birthday Layouts.  I think EP has the right idea selling mini lines-love them.

Amy, from The Scrapbooking Studio gave me some gorgeous paper from Simple Stories to work with. I used the "Fabulous" line and this is what I came up with.

I really liked how my projects turned out.  The first layout is of Katie and her friend Jessy.  the second layout is some fun memories from this past Scrapfest with the Reminisce gals.  We had SUCH a good time!  I made the mini album using the 4x6 cards from the journaling card elements and 4 x 6 page protectors from SEI.  The pictures were from a Scrapping Retreat back in 2009.  We went to a little place in Stuart Iowa called PJ's and Pigtails.  Had a great time!!

Thanks for checking out my "new" blog!  Looking forward to making it mine:)

I can't believe I haven't checked in here in over a month:(  It's not like I don't have anything to share!!  Between things for Sweet Tooth, for Reminisce and The Scrapbooking Studio I have been BUSY!!  Add in a part time job and let's just say the dust bunnies are winning!  But that's okay, they don't eat much!

I had lots of fun making layouts with the latest Reminisce papers.  They released some great new lines at CHA.

Their new line, "Destination Expedition"  is one of my favorites ever!  This layout was created with a beautiful picture from Kyle's trip to Vietnam.

I feel LOTS more layouts coming with this line!!  I also used it to create this layout of Katie and her Dance Team friends waiting to ride "Expedition Everest" in Disney World.

I also loved that they came out with new Jetsetters for all the states.  They are SO great!  I used the New Mexico to create this next layout of Jim in Bandelier National Park.

More to share but must get ready to head to "The Creek" AKA Coldwater Creek:)  Working all day today.  Hope we are busy!  TTFN!!

New Layouts!

I was really excited when Amy at The Scrapbooking Studio gave me the "Yours Truly" line from Echo Park to create with!  I love the colors and love the stickers that coordinate with this line.

This first layout is of my parents on their wedding day.  They were so young:)

This second layout is of Molly on her graduation day.  Such a goof!  I used a sketch by Lucy Chesna for this layout.

This paper line was perfect for both of these layouts!

I also used a Lucy sketch for the following card.  I don't do a lot of cards so her sketches REALLY help me out!!

Lastly, a fun little project.  I used an inexpensive frame and used a couple of my favorite billfold size photos from Mollys graduation pictures.

So be sure to stop by the Studio and pick up some "Yours Truly"  It is a great lione and can be used for so much more than Valentines Day!

Baby, It's COLD Outside!!!!

We knew it was going to happen!  there's no getting through an Iowa winter without the COLD temperatures!!  I don't really mind it that much, but I don't have to be out in it much either!!  Molly was home for a bit last night and dug out an old  pait boots from the basement.  She didn't get any new UGGS this year and I think she's regretting it!!  She has a bit of a hike from her apartment to the building where most of her English classes are in.  But she'll survive:)

Worked on CHA projects for Reminisce last night and can't wait to share them.  I can't share anything I've been working on yet, but I will soon.  You will love the new products that Reminisce has come out with

Sweet Tooth will be in Des Moines next Friday and Saturday (January 27 and 28) for a NEW Crop!  You can check out their Blog, Creative Bliss Crop, for all the details.  The ladies are awesome and they say the site is a great one!  Realy looking forward to meeting some new ladies and amybe some cropping for me!!

Sweet Tooth is getting ready for our big crop the first weekend in March at south Slope!  check out our website for all the details.  this crop sold out last March, so don't wait too long if you're interested!!

Okay-I must get ready to go work at the Creek!!  Have a great Friday!!

My Sketch World 6th Anniversary Sketch-a-thon!!

This was so fun last year, I can't wait for the Sketch-a-thon to begin next month!!  I hope you will stop by and play along.  Lots of games, challenges, FANTASTIC sketches and Prizes to be had!  Check out the forum, too.  Lots of friendly "faces" there:)

So I'm getting ready to change my blog around.  I think I'm going to change over to Blogspot.  And I think I'm going to bite the bullet and have someone(as in pay someone:) ) help me with the design and layout.  I just don't like how mine looks and then I don't want to come here and post!  Silly, but true.  So hopefully in the next month, I can start working on it.  I'm SUPER busy working on things for Reminisce and for The Scrapbooking Studio.  But things will calm down a bit at the end of the month.  Keep checking and keep me on my toes to get this done!!

Here's a couple layouts I thought I'd share.  Haven't been sharing as many lately.  Need to improve on that!  I do have some that I can't show yet, so I guess that's a bit of an excuse!!  These are layouts I did for The Scrapbooking Studio.

Jim was working in the yard and as always, Nala was right there with him:)

Love working with Jillibean Soup!  Katie at Christmas in 2010, finding things she liked in her stocking.

Thanks for stopping by!!

January Sketch from My Sketch World!

It's time (a few days late) to reveal another fabulous sketch from Lucy over at My Sketch World!  I really enjoyed working with this one.

Loved all the possibilities for this!  Here is what I did with it!

This picture was taken last Thanksgiving-2010-and I love it!  I just wish Tom and Dale's boys had been there as well.  Grandma sure loves her kids:)

Be sure to stop by MSW and check out all the inspiration there.  and if you use this sketch, let me know.  I'd love to see what you did with it!!

Off to work-for Reminisce!  They are getting ready for CHA and I'm helping out.  LOVE their new releases and I'm sure they will be sharing them soon.  You're going to love them, too:)
