It's All About the Pie

It really is all about the pie!!  I LOVE pie!  Love to make it AND eat it:)

So when I saw these stamp and die sets from Reverse Confetti, I knew I had to have them.

Here is the stamp set:

And the dies:

And here is what I created-with some inspiration from the Reverse Confetti site!!  Aren't those little pies adorable:)

I used kraft cardstock and matching envelopes along with paper from a 6 x 6 paper pad, Remarkable., from  My Mind's Eye.  It's an older pad that I found at Hobby Lobby.  The colors and prints are so pretty.
The circle was cut with a cross stitch die-Namics from My Favorite Things.
The tag is from the office supply store.

thanks so much!

I'm so excited that it is officially Spring!!!!  I just wish that snow wasn't in the forecast her in Eastern Iowa!  Fingers crossed that it misses us:)

To celebrate the arrival of spring and (soon) flowers, I thought I'd use this fun stamp and die set from Taylored Expressions  It's called Oh Happy Day and comes with seven stamps and four coordinating dies.

This is the cutest set!!!!  I use it a lot in the classes I teach and everyone enjoys coloring in the flowers.  Find the set here.

I also used the Posh Vases set.

You can find the vases here.

I love how cute and bright this card turned out!  I used "Hello Sunshine" from Doodlebug for this card.  ( I linked the paper pad to one of my favorite online stores, Simon Says Stamp:))  But always check with your LSS first!!

It might be hard to tell, but I used a fun die to cut the pink panel.  It's the Wonky Stitches set from Avery Elle.  Again, I've linked it to my favorite online store.  The banner is from the set as well.  I stamped the banner and then added Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to give it the blue color.
The flowers were colored in with Copic Markers.  So fun to play with!!  The colors I used were YR68, RV55, YG05 and BG15.  I thought the colors went well with the bright Doodlebug colors.

Thanks for stopping by:)  I hope you have time to create today!!

Good March Morning!  Love that the sun is out here in Iowa.  Hope you're having a great day as well:)

Sharing a fun card I made using a sketch from Reverse Confetti.  I LOVE their dies and stamps!!!!  Great images and fun sayings.  Who wouldn't love to get a card this this greeting:)????

I used the Posted Note Sentiments for the greeting  Then I used the Gift Card Holder for the two panels that hold the greeting.  And the cute little banner:)

The paper pad is from Doodlebug called "Hello Sunshine" .  I think it's an older pad, but I love the bright colors!!

Be sure to stop by the Reverse Confetti website and check out their great products.  And once you have them, use their monthly sketch to create great cards!!!

Happy Summer!!!!

Hope you are enjoying your summer!!  I know that I am, but it's going way too fast.  How can it be August when it was May yesterday????????   I quit my job in May and couldn't be happier:)  But I will look for something else after the Holidays.  NO retail this Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  AND I will get to go to any Hawkeye football game that I want to.  Don't get my wrong, I did enjoy my time at Eddie Bauer, but glad to be done with the stress and drama!~

I've made an effort to scrapbook more these days.  Shelly and I went to two crops this year!!  That's a record for me I think:)  Got tons done.  I decided to focus on Christmas and Thanksgiving done.  I've never really scrapbooked any Holiday pictures.  But the amount of Christmas paper that I've accumulated is ridiculous!!  I did make a dent in it though!!
In this layout I used "Eskimo Kisses" from Basic Grey  I think it's about three years old!  I have a TON of it!  I do have a weakness for Basic Grey Christmas papers:)  This was from Christmas 2012.

This layout was done with old October Afternoon.  I don't remember the papers, but I'm pretty sure it was called "Holiday Style"  From 2012 as well.  Love my pets.:)
Finally a layout of Miss Molly and her new computer!!  This is REALLY old Crate Paper-really cute line.  Don't remember the name but is very whimsical:)

I've been "cleaning" and purging my scraproom like crazy lately.  I can't work in it when it's such a mess.  I've also just spent the last two weeks creating for Reminisce.  Lots of fun new lines from them.  Had a great time working with all of them.  Hope to be able to share them soon!

Thanks for looking!!

Sketches!!

I love using sketches and there are so many of them out there.  Two of my very favorites are Creative Scrappers and Page Maps and I have a couple of layouts using their sketches to share.

The first one is from a Creative Scrappers sketch.  It is number 259 and I've shared it below.

I love the four square design!!  Here is my take on it:)

Katie and her friends went to the Iowa vs. Iowa State game this past fall and these are the pictures from their tailgating fun!!  I used Simple Stories Summer Fresh line for most of this layout.  The background paper is old October Afternoon.  There are some Thickers thrown in there and a piece of custom flair from a flair for buttons.  I'm really please with how it turned out and love the colors!  Perfect for an Iowa vs Iowa state layout!!

The second layout from Page Maps I actually found from Scrapbook Cards and Today's facebook page.  It's a two page layout and it was fun to do one for a change.  I usually do one pagers.

Here is what I created with it.  The picture isn't the best.  Having problems with my camera right now!

I used a favorite from Jillibean Soup for this one.  The line is called "Cold Avocado Soup" and I LOVE it!!  This is my third project from this line.  The colors were perfect for the pictures I used.  they were from Nationals, Katie's first year on the Iowa Dance Team.  I also used some Thickers and some custom flair from "a flair for buttons"

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out all the great sketches out there.  They are fun to use and really help when that old creative block comes to visit:)

Happy Saturday!!  It's so nice to have the morning off.  It's so pretty out, with the snow falling!!  I'll head to work about 12:30 but for now I'll just relax on the couch and drink coffee!!!

I've spent a lot of time in my room, trying to get it cleaned up from the CHA work that I did for Reminisce.  It's looking okay:) so I spent some time Friday working on a new layout!    I probably should have cleaned bathrooms or something but I had some new product from Jillibean Soup that I was anxious to work with.  Her Cold Avocado Soup has to be my favorite line yet!!  The colors are fabulous and I love the family theme to the line.
Back in October, Katie and her friends organized a Mother/Daughter weekend in Chicago and one of our activities was a cooking class.  We spent the evening cooking, eating and getting to know each other better in a fun little shop called "The Wooden Spoon".  It was so much fun and the food was fabulous!!!  In the pictures, Katie and her friend, Alex, are working on the pizza we had as an appetizer.  YUM!!!!!
Here is what I've done with this line so far.  I know there is more to come!!!!!

The papers I used for this layout are:

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy your Saturday and I hope you have some time to be creative:)
