It's All About the Pie

It really is all about the pie!!  I LOVE pie!  Love to make it AND eat it:)

So when I saw these stamp and die sets from Reverse Confetti, I knew I had to have them.

Here is the stamp set:

And the dies:

And here is what I created-with some inspiration from the Reverse Confetti site!!  Aren't those little pies adorable:)

I used kraft cardstock and matching envelopes along with paper from a 6 x 6 paper pad, Remarkable., from  My Mind's Eye.  It's an older pad that I found at Hobby Lobby.  The colors and prints are so pretty.
The circle was cut with a cross stitch die-Namics from My Favorite Things.
The tag is from the office supply store.

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to stop by Reverse Confetti and My Favorite Things

thanks so much!

I'm so excited that it is officially Spring!!!!  I just wish that snow wasn't in the forecast her in Eastern Iowa!  Fingers crossed that it misses us:)

To celebrate the arrival of spring and (soon) flowers, I thought I'd use this fun stamp and die set from Taylored Expressions  It's called Oh Happy Day and comes with seven stamps and four coordinating dies.

This is the cutest set!!!!  I use it a lot in the classes I teach and everyone enjoys coloring in the flowers.  Find the set here.

I also used the Posh Vases set.

You can find the vases here.

I love how cute and bright this card turned out!  I used "Hello Sunshine" from Doodlebug for this card.  ( I linked the paper pad to one of my favorite online stores, Simon Says Stamp:))  But always check with your LSS first!!

It might be hard to tell, but I used a fun die to cut the pink panel.  It's the Wonky Stitches set from Avery Elle.  Again, I've linked it to my favorite online store.  The banner is from the set as well.  I stamped the banner and then added Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to give it the blue color.
The flowers were colored in with Copic Markers.  So fun to play with!!  The colors I used were YR68, RV55, YG05 and BG15.  I thought the colors went well with the bright Doodlebug colors.

Thanks for stopping by:)  I hope you have time to create today!!

Good March Morning!  Love that the sun is out here in Iowa.  Hope you're having a great day as well:)

Sharing a fun card I made using a sketch from Reverse Confetti.  I LOVE their dies and stamps!!!!  Great images and fun sayings.  Who wouldn't love to get a card this this greeting:)????

I used the Posted Note Sentiments for the greeting  Then I used the Gift Card Holder for the two panels that hold the greeting.  And the cute little banner:)

The paper pad is from Doodlebug called "Hello Sunshine" .  I think it's an older pad, but I love the bright colors!!

Be sure to stop by the Reverse Confetti website and check out their great products.  And once you have them, use their monthly sketch to create great cards!!!

Thanks for stopping by:)

Happy Summer!!!!

Hope you are enjoying your summer!!  I know that I am, but it's going way too fast.  How can it be August when it was May yesterday????????   I quit my job in May and couldn't be happier:)  But I will look for something else after the Holidays.  NO retail this Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  AND I will get to go to any Hawkeye football game that I want to.  Don't get my wrong, I did enjoy my time at Eddie Bauer, but glad to be done with the stress and drama!~

I've made an effort to scrapbook more these days.  Shelly and I went to two crops this year!!  That's a record for me I think:)  Got tons done.  I decided to focus on Christmas and Thanksgiving done.  I've never really scrapbooked any Holiday pictures.  But the amount of Christmas paper that I've accumulated is ridiculous!!  I did make a dent in it though!!
In this layout I used "Eskimo Kisses" from Basic Grey  I think it's about three years old!  I have a TON of it!  I do have a weakness for Basic Grey Christmas papers:)  This was from Christmas 2012.

This layout was done with old October Afternoon.  I don't remember the papers, but I'm pretty sure it was called "Holiday Style"  From 2012 as well.  Love my pets.:)
Finally a layout of Miss Molly and her new computer!!  This is REALLY old Crate Paper-really cute line.  Don't remember the name but is very whimsical:)

I've been "cleaning" and purging my scraproom like crazy lately.  I can't work in it when it's such a mess.  I've also just spent the last two weeks creating for Reminisce.  Lots of fun new lines from them.  Had a great time working with all of them.  Hope to be able to share them soon!

Thanks for looking!!

Sketches!!

I love using sketches and there are so many of them out there.  Two of my very favorites are Creative Scrappers and Page Maps and I have a couple of layouts using their sketches to share.

The first one is from a Creative Scrappers sketch.  It is number 259 and I've shared it below.

I love the four square design!!  Here is my take on it:)

Katie and her friends went to the Iowa vs. Iowa State game this past fall and these are the pictures from their tailgating fun!!  I used Simple Stories Summer Fresh line for most of this layout.  The background paper is old October Afternoon.  There are some Thickers thrown in there and a piece of custom flair from a flair for buttons.  I'm really please with how it turned out and love the colors!  Perfect for an Iowa vs Iowa state layout!!

The second layout from Page Maps I actually found from Scrapbook Cards and Today's facebook page.  It's a two page layout and it was fun to do one for a change.  I usually do one pagers.

Here is what I created with it.  The picture isn't the best.  Having problems with my camera right now!

I used a favorite from Jillibean Soup for this one.  The line is called "Cold Avocado Soup" and I LOVE it!!  This is my third project from this line.  The colors were perfect for the pictures I used.  they were from Nationals, Katie's first year on the Iowa Dance Team.  I also used some Thickers and some custom flair from "a flair for buttons"

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out all the great sketches out there.  They are fun to use and really help when that old creative block comes to visit:)

Happy Saturday!!  It's so nice to have the morning off.  It's so pretty out, with the snow falling!!  I'll head to work about 12:30 but for now I'll just relax on the couch and drink coffee!!!

I've spent a lot of time in my room, trying to get it cleaned up from the CHA work that I did for Reminisce.  It's looking okay:) so I spent some time Friday working on a new layout!    I probably should have cleaned bathrooms or something but I had some new product from Jillibean Soup that I was anxious to work with.  Her Cold Avocado Soup has to be my favorite line yet!!  The colors are fabulous and I love the family theme to the line.
Back in October, Katie and her friends organized a Mother/Daughter weekend in Chicago and one of our activities was a cooking class.  We spent the evening cooking, eating and getting to know each other better in a fun little shop called "The Wooden Spoon".  It was so much fun and the food was fabulous!!!  In the pictures, Katie and her friend, Alex, are working on the pizza we had as an appetizer.  YUM!!!!!
Here is what I've done with this line so far.  I know there is more to come!!!!!

The papers I used for this layout are:

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy your Saturday and I hope you have some time to be creative:)

I'm going to try and revive this poor blog!!  First up is a fun project I created for a new Scrapbook store that opened in Cedar Rapids back in July.  The name is Scrapmania and it is on Collins Rd across from Lindale Mall.  You should check it out.  Stacy is doing a wonderful job!

A cute little mini using BoBunny paper and one of their 6 x 6 chipboard albums.  The line is called "Zip a Dee Doodle"  Lots of cute embellishments to go with is as always:)

Thanks for stopping by today!!  And be sure to check out Stacy's store.  It's worth the trip!!

TGIF!!

Happy Friday!  I hope you all had a great week!  I have-I've been home all week on a little "staycation" from The Creek.  It has been awesome!!  I've caught up on some reading, cleaned out a few cupboards and last night I hosted a Stampin Up party for some friends.  We had a good time and made the cutest card!  I can't wait until I get my order!  Thanks Angie , for a fun evening!

I also spent some time going through pictures and files on my computer.  Talk about OVERWHELMING!!!!  I seriously take too many pictures.    How many pictures of Kyle at home plate do I need??:):)  Or Katie doing the fight song??  Well, there are a few less right now!

While going through my pictures, I came across this little mini I did that I guess I've never shared.  I used a mini album from Maya Road and the papers are from the "Posh Line" from Teresa Collins.  I printed a bunch of my favorite  pictures in black and white for the album.  I really love how it turned out.  Lots of special memories.:)

Thanks for looking and enjoy your Friday!!!!

My New Look!!

What do you think of my new look????  I LOVE it!!!!  I'm so excited-it is beautiful:):)  BUT-I'm not responsible for it!  The SOOOOO talented Megan Klauer is the creator of my much needed update!  She took a look at some of my favorite things and came up with a perfect design-the colors are my favorites and I love how she added the state of Iowa to the header.  How many times can I use the word "Perfect"?? :)  Be sure to head over to her blog and check out her many talents.  Thanks so much Megan.  It's just perfect.

I'd love to share a couple of layouts I designed using on of my top favorite companies, Jillibean Soup.
Katie brought home some good friends from Chicago for a Iowa Football game and they all stayed with  Jim and I.  We had such a good time with her friends.  She is a lucky young lady (and she knows it:)) to have such wonderful friends.  They spent some time downtown with old friends, a little time hanging out at the Noesen house and then an evening at Kinnick!  There's nothing like Hawkeye Football at Kinnick stadium, under the lights!!  Jim was able to round up enough tickets so that they all could go.  Lots of fun:)
I used Jillibean Soup Country Pumpkin Chowder for both layouts.  As always, I LOVE the colors!

Thanks for looking!!  And Thanks again Megan for making me pretty:)

New Reminisce Layouts for CHA!!

I was SO excited to start working with the new lines I was given from Reminisce!!  They always do an awesome job with their Real Magic Lines lines so well and the It's A Dog's Life line is ADORABLE!!  Now I'm really happy to share my creations:)

Here is my silly Millie, with her fresh Easter Haircut!!   And her new stuffed duck!
 Isn't she just the sweetest:):)

And I used an OLD photo for my Real Magic layout.  This was taken back in 2005 when the City High Dance Team went to Nationals in disney World.  It was so special that my girls got to experience this together:)

Happy New Year!!!!

Welcome 2013!  Looking forward to the new year.  Not that 2012 wasn't a good year:)  But it's always fun to start fresh!  I don't have any resolutions but the things I most want to accomplish this year are:

1) Take better care of myself, BUT learn to accept I will never weigh what I did when I was 30!  I'm not focusing on weight anymore, just on being fit.  If I lose a few pounds along the way, thats great!

2) Get my house ORGANIZED!!  It is a MESS-not dirty, just a mess.  Now that all three kids have moved out, I think:), I'm going to go through each room and de-clutter.  It may take me all year!!

3) Scrapbook more.  After more than a dozen years of this hobby I still love it as much as the first day.  I just need to make it a priority.  It's not like I don't have a little product to work with!  I also want to apply to a few Design Teams this year.  I was on a few, and still design for Reminisce!, and I miss the challenge.

4) Read more.  Besides scrapbooking, it's what I love to do in my spare time.  A book a week is reasonable, especially since I have about an hour a day at work that I can read.

I think that will do it for now.  I have it down it writing to come back to.  Holds me accountable:)

Now a couple layouts to share.

I created these layouts with the new Signature Series from Reminisce.  Make sure to check the other paper and stickers in this line.  They've covered EVERYTHING!!

Happy New Year!!

Relaxing this evening, enjoying a little quiet time:)  We had a busy, wonderful Christmas!  All the kids were home, that was the best part.  Lots of presents to open.!!
I was very excited to get a new computer for an early Christmas present, but Jim couldn't stand me not having something to open!  He picked out some pretty earrings, a cute little coach bag and a fun cover for my phone.  He did good!  Katie gave us some tickets to Second City Comedy Club that is coming to The Englert in February.  Looking forward to that!

Molly got a new computer, too!  She moved to Miami today:( and really needed a new lap top.  She was THRILLED!
Here's a photo of the other youngins!
The three of them really enjoyed their time together.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and wish you a very Happy New Year!!!!!

I have created a new class that will be offered at The Scrapbooking Studio in June!  We will be creating two, two page layouts using the "Fresh Goods" line from American Crafts.

I love this line!!  The colors are bright and cheerful and can be used for so many different themes.  I love that they also offered several papers with a kraft background:)
We will be using assorted chipboard pieces (they may vary from what is shown), cork adhesive back paper (LOVE this) Sizzix dies, Ranger inks and lots more!!  The fee for the class is $20 and will be offered June 20th at 6PM.. The class size is limited so dont delay in calling the Studio!!    They can be reached at 309-736-7242.  Hope to see you there:)

A New Look!!

I managed to move my blog from Typepad to Blogger with only one problem:  Someone else had my Tales From the Bleachers name!!!!  AND she hasn't posted in over a year!   Hard to let go, but I did:)  So welcome to my new blog, Cindy's Paper Creations!  It works for me!!  Lots of work to make it look the way I want, but baby steps!  And it was really easy-no moments of panic or anything!

I've been busy lately, making things for Sweet Tooth and for The Scrapbooking Studio.
Here are some new kits in the Sweet Tooth store and at The Scrapbooking Studio!!

They were all made with the new Mini Lines from Echo Park.  One Dance, one Boy and Girl and Boy Birthday Layouts.  I think EP has the right idea selling mini lines-love them.

Amy, from The Scrapbooking Studio gave me some gorgeous paper from Simple Stories to work with. I used the "Fabulous" line and this is what I came up with.

I really liked how my projects turned out.  The first layout is of Katie and her friend Jessy.  the second layout is some fun memories from this past Scrapfest with the Reminisce gals.  We had SUCH a good time!  I made the mini album using the 4x6 cards from the journaling card elements and 4 x 6 page protectors from SEI.  The pictures were from a Scrapping Retreat back in 2009.  We went to a little place in Stuart Iowa called PJ's and Pigtails.  Had a great time!!

Thanks for checking out my "new" blog!  Looking forward to making it mine:)
